Copper naturally oxidizes and changes color over time. It will darken but can be polished with a soft jewelry cloth being mindful and careful of any stones. Copper is a living metal. There is a common misconception that if jewelry turns your skin “green,” that it is made from a harmful material. Copper may turn your skin a darker color due to the copper mixing with the oils on your skin. It’s completely harmless and washes off with soap and water!
