Copper naturally oxidizes and changes color over time. Although your new copper jewelry is sealed, it will eventually wear off and your jewelry may start to dull or darken. Regular polishing will help remove tarnish. If you have never worn copper jewelry before—please be aware that once sealant has worn off, the copper may react with the oils in your skin and you may notice a darkened or “green” color around your wrist. This is normal and will wash off with soap and water. It does not mean you are allergic to the metal; it is just a harmless chemical reaction.
